"Starry Night Volume 2" drawn by Akhila Alapati receives a Silver Medal in the 38th annual ICAE contest.

Akhila created this piece in pastel chalk, we find the title of the work to be quite fitting.

Before we teach our young students how to paint we first ensure that they are firmly grounded in the techniques of drawing. We find it much easier to have our students learn the use of color, tone, shading, line use, and light and shadow with drawing first.

That way when they begin their more difficult studies of paint, they are set up to win at it!
