Mission Renaissance Adult Student
Fine Art Gallery

This fantastic portrait of a child was created by a Mission Renaissance adult student. The youth's day dreaming was captured perfectly in the medium of oil on canvas.

The shadowing and texture of the white t-shirt is perfectly executed. Notice the folds and natural flow of the garment.

Would you like to be able to paint like this?

We have found that students do much better at painting when they first learn to draw.

The fundamentals from drawing transfer quite nicely into the art pf painting, however they are usually simpler for the student to learn.

Oil and water color tend to frustrate the student who is not grounded in drawing rather quickly.

Instead of jumping in over your head and try to recreate the Mona Lisa in paint, its much better to learn to draw and then draw her first!

Once your drawing skills are welll practiced you will find it much easier to learn the fine art of painting!
