NORTHEAST GLENDALE - Kyler Prescott was proud of the American Bald Eagle he had painted and given to his dad on Father's Day several years ago.

Recent terrorist attacks on the United States, however, inspired Kyler to pick a new home for his artwork.

The 11-year-old boy plans to send the picture to President George W. Bush as a show of his support for the leader.

"I wanted to give it to him because it's an eagle and that protects the United States," he said. "That's what [Bush] is trying to do."

'The La Crescenta resident had talked it over with his father before making a decision. "It was something Kyler really wanted to do," Ted said.

"He's 11 now, and he's a little more in tune with what's going on," Ted said.

Kyler has some strong opinions about the terrorist attacks.

"What Osama Bin Laden is doing is crazy and not good," Kyler said, "They can never take away our freedom."

The boy also wrote a letter to President Bush describing his feelings about the situation and that he is going to send the painting to the leader.

Although he has not received a response from the White House, Kyler and his father planned to send the picture within the week.

Jasmin Zimmatore, Vice President of Public Relations at Mission: Renaissance, said the 11-by-14 inch poster has been given a cherry wood frame to match the decor of the White House.

Kyler painted the picture as a student at [Mission: Renaissance], an art school in Glendale.
