GLENDALE - A group of budding artists in Glendale is reaching out to hospitalized children by donating their art to a fund-raiser.
Youngsters from Mission: Renaissance in Glendale have donated their artwork to be sold at a special exhibition to raise funds for Chase Place at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Chase Place was named after a child who died of cancer. It is a designated area where children go to escape the pain of treatment with the help of beautiful murals and toys.
Artists participating are Jessica Kim, 12; Robert Kim, 9; Emily Kurginyan, 9; Lucine Oganesian, 6; Nicole Perez, 9; Melissa Robinson, 7; and Sophia Steilen, 5.
The Chase Foundation will be auctioning the artwork at a fund-raiser at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Four Seasons Hotel, 300 S. Doheny Drive in Beverly Hills. The artwork, which ranges from watercolors to pastels, was professionally framed by Mat Source in Glendale, which donated its services.
